Cookie Lady's Bike HostelThe Cookie Lady's Bike Hostel is a veritable museum to the Trans America route. June Curry has been hosting cyclists here since the inception of the BikeCentennial route in 1976. Over 10,000 cyclists have called this wonderful place "home" for a night or more. This is one hostel where you will definitely want to stay overnight.
June has a "bike house" as well as her private residence. The bike house is the lower building. Her house is the upper building (a garage is in between). She may be in the hostel or in her home when you arrive. Check the hostel first. There is a doorbell on the back door of her house if she's not in the hostel.
Hostel accomodations include a well-stocked kitchen with food, cold water shower, lots of floor space, great hospitality, and more postcards and letters than you could ever read in a lifetime.
